Our Aims
- To create a resource of volunteers who reflect the diverse communities of the Bradford & Keighley districts.
- To place volunteers in appropriate roles in ways which benefit the volunteer, the placement agency and It’s services.
- To provide opportunities for volunteers’ self development through appropriate voluntary work.
- To support organisations to develop volunteering opportunities to meet the needs of potential volunteers.
- To identify and/or provide the right support and training for volunteers.
- To promote ‘Good Practice In Volunteering’, including equal opportunities both within the volunteer centre and the placement agencies.
- To promote volunteering in general.
- To ensure volunteers and organisations are aware of their rights and responsibilities.

Our activities include:-
- Meeting the person to discuss their interests and abilities and exploring the volunteer opportunities available.

Supporting the person to visit potential placements

Supporting the person to apply for volunteer roles.

Providing a variety of accessible training sessions that prepare the person for volunteering.

Providing one to one support on placement to enable the person to settle in to their new role.

Creating user-friendly resources to help the volunteer undertake their role.
Meeting with the volunteer and the placement representative to see how they are getting on.
