Supportive Volunteering Project

£12,372 p.a. NJC Scale Band 1 SCP 8.

35 Hours per week

Employer contribution pension available

Initially a one year contract, the post is funded by the Bailey Thomas Foundation.

Contract may be extended depending on funding.

Possible Secondment opportunity for Bradford District Care Trust Staff.

The successful candidate will have at least one year experience of working with people with a learning disability and knowledge of the barriers they face when attempting to access mainstream services.

S/he will have good understanding of the government white paper ‘valuing people’ and will be able to implement its principles in day to day practice.

S/he will support learning disabled volunteers in their volunteer placements, assist with training, conduct reviews and complete risk assessments where appropriate.
